Look forward to a wide range of winter activities in Klosters. Even if the focus is always on having fun on the slopes, an excursion or an afternoon at the bowling alley can provide a welcome change. Below we have put together some of the top winter activities in Klosters for you:
Winter Bucket List Activities in Klosters
1. Visit to the Walser village of Monbiel
The Walser village of Monbiel is 1300 meters above sea level and is inhabited all year round. Therefore, a visit is always worthwhile! You also have a fantastic view of the region from here, and the Höhwald restaurant invites you to stay, enjoying the cozy atmosphere.
2. Winter hike to Alp Garfiun
The Alp Garfiun is located between the Alp Novai and the Alp Pardenn and invites you to a beautiful winter hike. Once at the top, visitors are greeted by a restaurant with a sun terrace and a beautiful view. Incidentally, the alp can also be reached by horse-drawn carriage from Klosters.
3. Bowling at the Hotel Silvretta
In addition to the general offer for guests, the Hotel Silvretta also has two bowling alleys where adults and children can let off steam – whether for a friendly tournament among friends or colleagues, or a sporty family evening.
4. Visit to the Museum Nutli Hüschi
How about a visit to the Walserhaus Nutli Hüschi? Already built in 1565 by Christian Nutli, today it is an interesting village museum. Here you can get to know the traditional way of life of the Walser with the help of furniture, tools and toys from the 16th to 19th centuries.
5. Sledging run from Gotschna or Madrisa
For toboggan fans there is a sledging run from Gotschnaboden and from Saaseralp. The latter leads over eight kilometers through the forest with a view of the Prättigau. The starting point is directly at the mountain station of the Madrisa gondola lift. At the end, you can take the bus back to Klosters Dorf from the village square in Saas. The sledges can be rented from Intersport Madrisa at the mountain station and returned at the valley station of Klosters-Madrisa Bergbahnen AG.
The first section of the Gotschnabahn cable car near Klosters Platz takes you up to the starting point, right next to the cable car station.
6. Snowshoe hiking with Ride & Smile to Alp Garfiun
We take you to Alp Garfiun as part of an eventful snowshoe hike, whether by day or by night. Immerse yourself in the wonderful snowy landscape of the region away from the normal daily operations on the slopes. A snowshoe tour is a real highlight, especially at night – whether for families, couples, for a trip with friends or colleagues.
7. Carriage ride in Klosters
Let yourself be chauffeured through the white winter landscape of Klosters in a horse-drawn sledge, comfortably wrapped in warm furs. The tours take place daily and are suitable for a romantic trip for two, a tour with the whole family or on the occasion of celebrations.
8. Night skiing in Klosters Selfranga
Even when it gets dark, there is still a lot to experience in Klosters. The night ski facility in Klosters Selfranga is open every Tuesday and Friday, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (Tuesdays) and 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (Fridays).
