Who our snowshoe tours are for

All Levels – No Previous Experience Needed

Beginners
We teach the basics step by step so you handle gear and pacing with ease – relaxed and enjoyable from the first minute.

Advanced
Longer loops, more vertical, photo stops off the beaten path – we match distance and profile to your fitness and the conditions.

Families & groups
Kid-friendly pace, short learning moments, plenty of viewpoint breaks. On request we book a cosy lunch or dinner stop.

How your tour runs

  • Consultation & route choice – goals, fitness, weather and snow: we propose suitable routes (e.g., forest and high-level trails on Jakobshorn, Pischa, Madrisa).
  • Meeting point – you choosein Davos or Klosters: hotel, valley station, bus stop, or directly at the trailhead; we’ll advise you. Depending on the route we use mountain lifts or bus to reach the quiet winter forest faster and save vertical.
  • Briefing & equipment – short intro to snowshoes, poles, footwork, track choice, and layering.
  • On the trail with coaching – steady rhythm, safe traverses, time for photos & views; moonlight option with headlamps on request.

Note: We always adapt route and duration to weather, snow, and the group – comfort & safety before pace.

Learning goals during the tour

  • Technique & efficiency: correct footwork, up/down/sidehill travel, rhythm & breaks
  • Navigation & tour practice: simple trail signs, choosing a sensible track, behaviour on marked winter routes
  • Gear handling: set up snowshoes & poles, clothing & warmth management, tips for gloves/goggles/gaiters
