Learn to ski—fast

Our goal is for you to ski blue runs independently, often within a short time, depending on fitness, balance, and conditions. We start with gliding, snowplough braking, and first direction changes on very gentle terrain, then move on to rhythmic turns, safe lift use, and longer easy descents.

Learning goals – Beginners

  • Get to know the equipment (skis, ski boots, poles, helmet)—including an explanation of the function of skis and ski boots, plus correct putting on & taking off
  • Gliding, snowplough braking, and safe stopping
  • First direction changes and easy turns on gentle terrain
  • Using lifts according to progress: magic carpet/practice lift, drag/T-bar lift, and chairlift
  • FIS slope rules and basic on-piste safety
