Transalp Tour 6 Days 🇦🇹🇨🇭🇮🇹

The multi-day “Transalp” tour by E-bike is highly challenging and is therefore aimed at experienced riders seeking adventure in the border region between Austria, Switzerland, and Italy. The majority of the route traverses singletrails ranging from S1 to S2, offering a mix of natural obstacles and demanding sections that require both skill and experience. To gain a better understanding of the trail requirements, we recommend watching the available video beforehand.

Stage 1: Samnaun – Ischgl

We meet in Scuol and from there we will take a shuttle to Samnaun. The first day serves as an introduction, allowing participants to get to know each other and warm up together. We utilize the cable car to prepare for the challenging days ahead and to gain a feel for the group dynamics and terrain.

Stage 2: Ischgl – Scuol

The second day of the tour presents a true challenge, starting with a cable car ride taking participants to over 2730 meters above sea level. This stage features a total ascent of 1400 meters and an impressive descent of 3000 meters. The route primarily consists of S2 trails, including technically demanding sections and steep ascents up to Fimberpass at 2609 meters. The long descent to Scuol in the Engadin region offers a diverse and exciting experience.

Stage 3: Scuol – Mals

The third stage from Scuol to Mals offers a slightly more relaxed challenge with an ascent of 2200 meters and a descent of 2400 meters. In terms of trail difficulty, this stage is likely the easiest, providing participants with a welcome break after the demanding previous day. The route mainly follows easier paths or roads, with the majority of descents on S1-S2 trails. This stage is ideal for recovery while enjoying the beauty of South Tyrol.

Stage 4: Mals – Livigno

The fourth stage of the Transalp Tour begins with a bike shuttle to take participants to the Ofenpass. From there, the route heads towards Val Mora, offering spectacular views of the surrounding landscape near the Swiss National Park. The trails are primarily classified as S1, with some S2 sections, striking a good balance between challenge and enjoyment. After arriving in Livigno, participants can relax and unwind in the laid-back Italian atmosphere, recovering from the day’s efforts. With an ascent of 1400 meters and a descent of 1600 meters, this stage offers a successful combination of sporting challenge and impressive natural experience.

Stage 5: Livigno – Poschiavo

The fifth stage from Livigno to Poschiavo is a highlight of the tour in the high Alps. With an ascent of 1400 meters and a descent of 2500 meters, it offers a challenging and impressive riding experience. The transition from Forcola di Livigno to Passo del Bernina is particularly spectacular and undoubtedly a highlight of the entire tour. The trails are mostly classified as S2, making this stage one of the longest and most challenging days.

Stage 6: Poschiavo – Tirano

The final stage from Poschiavo to Tirano offers a somewhat more relaxed route with an ascent of 1500 meters and a descent of 2000 meters. The majority of the trails are classified as S1 to S2, with most ascents on forest roads, making riding easier. Upon arrival in Tirano, participants will be greeted by a shuttle bus, providing a comfortable return to the starting point of the tour. This stage marks a pleasant conclusion to the Transalp Tour.
