Looking for a demanding mountain bike tour in true alpine terrain? This route is for you! From Davos through Arosa to Chur, you’ll ride through two of Switzerland’s best-known MTB destinations – combined into one unforgettable day packed with alpine singletrails, endless descents, and breathtaking scenery.

Together with one of our experienced Ride and Smile guides, you’ll tackle technical sections, flowy downhills, and natural features – all while actively improving your riding technique throughout the tour.

What to Expect

From Davos to Chur – Pure Enduro Through Two of Switzerland’s Top MTB Destinations

MTB / E-MTB | 3,400 meters descent | 100% Trail Adventure

The starting point is in Davos. From there, the Parsennbahn takes you to the Weissfluhjoch. Once there, the descent follows in the direction of Langwies, in order to then continue by train to Arosa. On the tour we only use the traditional mountain railways so that you can enjoy the trails of Arosa Lenzerheide.

Learning Goals – What You’ll Take Away

This isn’t just a ride – it’s an on-trail training experience. We’ll focus on:

  • Cornering techniques with proper line choice and entry
  • Confidently riding root carpets and uneven terrain
  • Recognizing alpine trail hazards and responding appropriately
  • Proper braking technique during descents, corners, and obstacles
  • Correct riding posture for active, controlled riding
  • Effective weight shifting, especially through the hands and handlebars

All skill elements are taught directly on the trail in real terrain.

Who Is This Tour For?

  • You’re confident riding narrow hiking trails with loose surfaces, roots, steps, and natural features (difficulty level S2)
  • You’ve been riding MTB or E-MTB for several years and can assess your ability well
  • Exposed sections don’t stress you out
  • Long descents with up to 300 vertical meters in one go are no problem – for you or your brakes

Not suitable for: beginners or cautious, nervous riders.
