MTB & E-MTB Group Riding Skills in Davos

Improve your bike handling in a small group (4–8 people) on the best trails around Davos Klosters – with either an MTB or an E-MTB.

Our group courses for levels S0 to S3 run from Saturday to Sunday and combine riding skills training with an unforgettable outdoor experience. Riding in a group ensures great social dynamics when mountain biking or e-mountain biking, promotes important skills and is also a lot of fun.

To save energy for the fun parts, most uphill sections are done using the cable cars. You’ll practice key skills such as balance, braking, cornering, and line choice – all directly on the trails.

What to Expect

You’ll meet your guide at the agreed location in Davos Klosters. After a warm welcome, your guide will go over the plan for the day with all participants. The schedule is always adapted to the group’s preferences, skill levels, and the weather conditions – to ensure the best possible experience for everyone.

After a short warm-up ride, the guided tour begins. Throughout the day, your guide will integrate targeted riding skills exercises such as body position, balance, braking, cornering technique, or uphill starts – all based on the group’s level and practiced directly on the trails.

To save energy and enjoy more time on the trails, most of the climbs are done using the mountain cable cars in Davos Klosters. This allows for more focus on technical riding and downhill fun.
There will be a short break during the tour – a great opportunity to rest, ask questions, and receive on-the-spot feedback from your guide.

Learning Goals:

Level S0- S1: Basics for Beginners

  • Confident riding position and balance – for better control and stability across varied terrain
  • Effective braking techniques – learn how to use front and rear brakes properly for safe stopping, even on steep trails
  • Improved cornering – master body position, line choice, and vision to ride smooth and controlled through turns
  • Starting uphill – practice controlled uphill starts, both with and without motor assistance
  • Line choice and trail reading – recognize obstacles early, pick the best lines, and ride more fluidly
  • Adapting to changing terrain – train on different surfaces like roots, gravel, forest floor, and loose ground
  • More riding fun and self-confidence – thanks to small group sizes, personalized feedback, and real-world practice on the trails

Level S2-S3: Advanced Riding Techniques

For advanced riders who want to further develop their skills, the focus is on:

  • Advanced braking and riding techniques in rough terrain
  • Mastering curves and weight shifting
  • General handling of the E-Bike’s weight

In these levels, the learned skills are applied on more challenging hiking paths and single trails, allowing participants to practice and refine their techniques under real conditions.

Thus, the course provides an excellent foundation for both beginners who want to move safely on forest roads and experienced bikers who wish to improve their skills on technically demanding trails. The meeting point at Davos Platz Station serves as a starting point for a safe and educational experience in the stunning landscape of Davos.
