What to Expect

Our course is designed for both skiers and snowboarders (with splitboards) who want to begin their ski touring journey in a safe and manageable way. We use the Parsenn cable car for most of the ascent, limiting your climb to approximately 400 meters of elevation gain – ideal for beginners. This approach allows you to conserve energy and focus on the most exciting part: skiing or snowboarding down through the powder!

Even if weather conditions are less than ideal, our guides will lead you on routes below the treeline, ensuring an unforgettable experience in any conditions. Plus, you’ll receive personalized tips to improve your technique on the way down, regardless of your skill level.

Who Is This Course For?

Our Beginner Ski Touring Course is perfect for skiers and snowboarders who are confident on black runs and can control their speed even in low-visibility conditions. Previous experience riding in deep snow and off-piste terrain is required. If you haven’t yet skied in deep snow, we recommend starting with a private lesson before joining this course. The goal of this course is to refine your skills, not teach the basics.

We can also assist with ski and gear rentals in Davos Klosters. The course runs in all weather conditions, and the itinerary is adapted by the guide based on the day’s conditions.

It was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend them. For anyone visiting this area, I strongly recommend hiring a guide as there is so much terrain to explore and hidden trails that only an experienced guide like Manuel knows about. We rode all over the Davos-Klosters area, mostly on single track trails, from mountain top peaks, to high alpine valleys, to stunning gorges. We also visited several, centuries old villages. I also strongly recommend an e-bike as we were able to explore so much more terrain than would be possible with human power alone. I had 3 days of guiding for me and my family this week in Davos with 3 separate guides, for off-piste skiing, touring on skins, and snowshoeing. On one of the trips I lost a ski over a cliff, and our guide Lucas climbed down to find it! Manuel himself provided some excellent tips to improve my ski technique on our second trip, and Paolo gave us excellent information about the surroundings for our snowshoeing. The team's professionalism, expertise, patience and friendliness were a great pleasure - both before our visit (to find ski rentals, resort logistics, help with planning for the weather etc etc), and during the tours themselves. Die Touren waren gut vorbereitet und bestens dieauf Anforderungen der Gruppe zugeschnitten. Die Schneeverhältnisse waren nicht ideal, der Guide hat das Beste rausgeholt und uns trotudem zu einigen schönen Pulverhängen geführt. Sehr hilfreich waren auch seime Tipps zur Skitechnik.  Verified Amazing snowboarding progress in just 3 days!
Thoroughly recommended!!! Matteo was brilliant, even before the snowboarding lessons began, from providing a recommendation on the type of beginner board to rent, to thoughtfully suggesting my girls have their first lesson at the base of Jakobshorn/Davos, rather than battle the t-bar at Madrisa/Klosters (which is what I did two decades ago and enough to put off any beginner snowboarder for life!) As for the lessons, the results speak for themselves: towards the end of day three's lesson, they successfully navigated a black run! Equally important in my book is the way a lesson is taught (I joined for a morning). Matteo's enthusiasm is infectious and speaks to his teaching style. He takes things very steadily. The focus is on staying in control, and laying strong foundations (which speaks to his training as a professional fencer!) Regarding the admin side of things, faultless.
